Food was tasty..Service was excellent. If ordering grouper ask not to overcook when fryung.

We came here two dinners in a row and plan to come back tomorrow for lunch. The food is superb, service is great (friendly and quick), and the view is amazing. We love everything we got (in the picture and more). We almost skipped it because of the yelp review was not very high, but were so glad we didn't. We love seafood and it's definitely a highlight of our trip.

A great restaurant good food and good service the waitresses are always courteous and friendly

What a wonderful old Florida seafood dining experience this was! This scenic restaurant reminds me of my childhood and should be on your list to visit if you are in the Panacea, Florida area. I saw many FSU students, so even if you are looking for a nice seafood dinner in Tallahassee, the drive is worth it. We started with the smoked fish dip and it was amazing. We like to fancy ourselves as fish dip connoisseurs and this ranks up there with some of my favorites. It is super fine textured and comes with pickled onions, cucumbers and crackers. I added some hot sauce but it didn't need it. For my main dish I got the Florida lobster with deviled crab and it was fabulous. It came with three large pieces and was very filling with the salad and side. We got pie because it is made from scratch and it did not disappoint! The key lime and peanut butter were amazing. Our server May was so nice and friendly. She had some regulars at a table next to us and was kind and chatty with them. She did not know us and took our joking and jovial manner very well and we appreciated it. The drinks were filled very quickly, which I was thankful for because I was hot and dehydrated and I was keeping her busy just with that task. This is a beautiful restaurant for sitting outside and enjoying a sunset but we sat inside since were hot and tired and still had a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!

One of the top-end seafood restaurant in the panhandle - well worth the drive to the coast. Enjoy large portions of fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico with in-house made salad dressings, tartar sauce, & dipping sauces. Professional, friendly service by all of the employees. When the weather is nice, enjoy a meal on the deck overlooking the bay.

Our experience here tonight was outstanding in every way, so I am truly shocked by the current average 3.4 star rating. I think I am pretty picky and this place is WAY better than 3.4. Our wait on a Friday night was both pleasant and short. We were seated in about 15 minutes and their seating process was efficient. We ordered Angelo's Oysters as an appetizer. All I can say is OMG. There were over two dozen oysters on this plate, so well worth the $22 price tag. They charbroiled the oysters in a Worcestershire sauce with fresh parsley, onions and garlic. Sorry about the photo below, but we were so excited that we ate most of it before I remembered to take a photo. If you like oysters, make sure you get this one. We next had our salads which we upgraded to Greek for an extra $4 each. WOW...it was perfect with their homemade Greek dressing. The message is...don't be cheap...pay the $4 and upgrade...you'll be glad you did! Even though we are both mostly full and very happy, we get our entrees. We ordered Snapper Imperial and the 1/2 Seafood Platter. The former was wonderful. The latter was excellent as well (and when you see the photos below, remember this a 1/2 platter). The homemade tartar and cocktail sauces just added more flavor even though the entrees didn't need it. We ate about half of our portions because we really wanted dessert even though I really wanted to keep eating them. Good call on leaving room for dessert. Most of the desserts sounded great, but we have a thing for key lime pie. It was perfect...great fresh taste with graham cracker crust and whipped cream. I know that someone's grandmother made it...it was that good. We have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years (I took my wife here when we were dating). Given this was our 33rd wedding anniversary, we have been here a few times over the years. While the new building is very nice and captures the spirit of the coast, I do miss the old building a bit. But the food and service is a great as it ever was and we have some great memories of this restaurant. Tonight was no exception and will serve as another great memory of great food, great service and a great overall experience.

As good as advertised! Opens at 4:00 on Saturday, I got there 4:15 and it was full. There wasn't a long wait and the outdoor seats with a great view of the water go fast. I had fried grouper and shrimp - great! They were GREAT! I enjoyed the red beans & rice, as well. An additional order of hush puppies would be icing on the cake! The surprise were the Rockefeller shrimp! The absolute best outside of New Orleans, hands down! I will 100% go back and 100% I'll have those oysters! The best restaurants in Tallahassee are not in Tallahassee! Drive to the shore on Panacea or across the state lines to Thomasville!!
